WWE Send Cease and Desist Letter to Young Bucks – The WWE doesn’t want the Young Bucks to use their intellectual property, even if a court has already declared to them once before that the WWE can’t trademark hand gestures. The WWE sent out a cease and desist against the Young Bucks for using the ‘Clique’ hand gesture, otherwise known as the Wolfpack Kiss, or the ‘Too Sweet’. The Buck’s have been using it for years now, but the WWE has decided they want to “protect” their investment. The WWE knows their merchandise sails is at a ten year low, and that they’re hemorrhaging money and are in danger of getting a less than lucrative t.v. contract offer from the USA Network. So instead of working on improving the in ring product, making it a bit more edgier, and bringing back the unpredictable elements that made the Attitude Era and even the Ruthless Aggression Era far more entertaining, they’ve decided to just try and hurt their competition.
WWE Signs Major UK Name – To most of you, you’ve never heard of Johnny Moss, but to the rest of us, we know him as one of the UK’s best big men of the last twenty years. Moss, who’s competed everywhere in the UK, even for the once talked about WCPW, and most recently for Chikara when they came to the UK, has been hired by the WWE to coach at the WWE Performance Center. Moss credits the signing as a lifelong dream fulfilled, saying;
This is a lifelong dream fulfilled. I’ve been obsessed with wrestling since I was eight – it’s all I ever wanted to do – and to be offered this job with WWE is beyond anything I could ever have hoped for.
Moss will report to Triple H, Shawn Michaels and William Regal, while splitting his time between training the talent at the Performance Center and working with them as an agent on the road at live events.
Moss already has two major students to his name, Finn Balor and Killian Dain. However, he has to leave his school, School of Hard Knocks and Hammerlocks, in order to take this job. So his protege Josh Terry will replace him as head trainer. His farewell event will come on October 14th at Whitehaven Sports Centre.
Josh Mathews Talks IMPACT – Josh Mathews revealed to the Sporting News that not only is Anthem getting rid of IMPACT, he claims that’s the farthest thing from the truth and that the rumors have hurt the company, but that they’re going into Bound for Glory as just IMPACT; saying;
Anthem Dropping the Company
You wake up in the morning and read an article from Sports Illustrated saying that Anthem wants out and they’re hemorrhaging funds and they don’t want to have anything to do with this anymore. To me, that’s the furthest thing from the truth. They’re invested. We’re doing ‘Bound for Glory’ on Nov. 5 and all this momentum is going forward. Then one story and one thing and one negative piece of journalism comes out and it kind of puts you eight steps back and it’s really difficult.
IMPACT Moving Forward, Not GFW
As it relates to ‘Bound for Glory’ and the TV’s that we’ll be taping in Ottawa, we’re bringing Impact. The brand Impact will be coming to Ottawa for ‘Bound for Glory’ and the brand Impact will be taping its television shows in Canada. What happens after that, I don’t know.
Major EVOLVE Wrestler Done? – A major wrestler over at Evolve has announced he’s walking away from the company. Ethan Page, known as All Ego, tweeted out earlier today that he’s left the company in order to make changes in his life. This was parly in response to people alleging that Page had leaked a memo from Gabe Sapolsky to the Evolve roster. Something he denies ever doing. More than likely his departure has nothing to do with the alleged leaked memo, but more to do with Evolve’s future. The WWN/FloSlam legal showdown is expected to damage, if not completely destroy the WWN service if FloSlam is found to be in the legal right. It might be the start of wrestlers leaving for more solidified opportunities elsewhere.
ATTENTION FANS! #AllEgo is making a few changes in his life!
Some would say, I'm EVOLVING …..
