Rebooking WrestleMania 28

Haven’t done one of these recently, so I figured I’d expand on this past week’s Fix It/Book It. Zach proposed rebooking CM Punk’s year plus reign, and I figured I’d re-look at WrestleMania 28. Now, John Cena/The Rock and Triple H/The Undertaker are safe. Those are two stellar matches, so I’m not fucking around with that.

Here’s the card as is;

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Colons (c) vs. Justin Gabriel/Tyson Kidd vs. The Usos

World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan (c)

Randy Orton vs. Kane

Intercontinental Championship
Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes (c)

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres

Hell in a Cell
The Undertaker vs. Triple H

Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown
Team RAW: David Otunga, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Miz, Drew McIntyre
vs.
Team SmackDown: Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Zach Ryder, The Great Khali, Booker T)

WWE Championship
Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk (c)

The Rock vs. John Cena

So, two of these matches are awesome. However, the rest needs to be shook up. First of all, the women’s tag match is getting dropped. This is a bad year for women’s wrestling in the WWE, and I don’t feel like giving a celebrity tag match more time than the tag team match.

Secondly, the World Heavyweight title match is getting completely changed. Firstly, Mark Henry doesn’t drop the belt to Big Show at TLC. Henry retains and does so in dominating fashion. The next night it’s announced that Henry will defend the World Championship against Chris Jericho at Royal Rumble. Big Show ultimately wins his way into the match, making it a triple threat.

At Royal Rumble, Jericho pins his former partner, defeating Show with a chair shot. Jericho leaves with the belt as Henry beats up show. The next night Sheamus takes the Intercontinental Championship off of Rhodes, and chastises Big Show for being a loser.

Cody Rhodes eventually goes into a battle royal and last eliminates Mark Henry to win the shot at the World Championship at WrestleMania. Jericho then attacks Rhodes, and starts a feud with Rhodes. Jericho tries to cripple Cody, only for Dusty to try to defend his son. Dusty gets Jericho to stop, but next week, Jericho assaults Dusty just for the fun of it. This prompts Cody to return to begin a blood feud with Jericho.

At Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan tries to cash on Mark Henry after winning, and gets dropped by Big Show and then Mark Henry, losing his belt. After this, he’d spend the next few months making all of the talent tap out on SmackDown. He’ll return to his roots, and bring back the Cattle Mutilation. After a few months, the Rumble rolls around and last tosses out Randy Orton after Orton went for the RKO and gets dumped over the rope. Bryan then jumps CM Punk on RAW the next night and locks him in the Cattle Mutilation, and “injures” CM Punk for a few weeks. That Friday though, Bryan show sup on SmackDown and assaults Chris Jericho as well, leaving fans confused over who he’ll choose.

Bryan comes out on SmackDown after Elimination Chamber and proceeds to pick Chris Jericho for WrestleMania, but before Bryan can formally declare his intentions, the camera man blasts Bryan with the camera, and proceeds to put him in the Anaconda Vice. It’s then revealed that the camera operator is CM Punk. On RAW, Punk cuts a promo, calling Bryan a bitch and that he’d never have the balls to come over to RAW, but Bryan proceeds to show up and accepts the challenge, and declares his intention to face off with Punk at WrestleMania.

The G.M. Battle was dumb. However, if you make it for the Bragging Rights trophy, and you don’t try to unify the rosters, then this might work better. Team RAW will be represented by Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Miz, Drew McIntyre and Mark Henry, while Team SmackDown will be Kofi Kingston, Booker T, Randy Orton, Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd.

The women’s match will be Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix for the title, while The Colon’s take on The Uso’s in a straight up tag title ladder match. Finally, Santino Marella will end up taking on Drew McIntyre for the United States Championship

Results:

Whoever I forgot, is in the preshow.

In the tag title ladder match, The Colons eek out a win over the Usos thanks to Rosa Mendes. Post match sees Tamnia Snuak run down and help her cousins out by chasing the Colons and Mendes out of the ring.

Galloway kicks Marella’s head off in 18 seconds to win the United States Championship.

Beth Phoenix makes Kelly Kelly tap out in three minutes, and then eats a top rope drop kick from Menounos, setting up a match down the line.

In the Hell in a Cell match, everything goes just like it did.

With the World Heavyweight Championship match, Cody comes out with Dusty, and nearly pulls several fast upsets over Jericho, but after some back and forth, Jericho eventually puts Cody in the Walls of Jericho and earns the submission victory.

The Bragging Rights match sees some back and forth but The Miz ultimately puts Booker T down with the Skull Crushing Finale to get the win.

Big Show beats Sheamus to win the Intercontinental Championship after surprising Sheamus, who had been dominating the whole match, with a WMD and a Chokeslam combo.

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan go all out with submissive counters, with CM Punk ultimately catching Bryan with GTS after overpowering Bryan’s submission attempt, and dropping him with a knee. It’d be the first strike in over twenty minutes, and would see Bryan then claim that Punk only went to the GTS because he knew he couldn’t beat Bryan via submission, setting up a future Submission Match.

The Rock and John Cena have an identical match, just like before.
