‘Inhumans’ Made on the Cheap? New Zatana Book and More! – ComicCorp News

It’s late, I don’t care. WEEEEEE let’s to do this!

‘Inhumans’ in Trouble? – “Inhumans” director Roel Reine has revealed that the pilot of “Inhumans” was made on a “super tight” schedule, with only 20 days to shoot the two episodes for IMAX. He also mentioned it was done on a low budget, which isn’t too absurd. He was complimentary though, saying;

These people are very passionate about their product and about characters and about doing the best version of everything.

Opinion: It’s not uncommon to not spend on the first few episodes, especially when there’s no guarantee it’d even make it to series. I bet you’d be surprised how many pilots are made on shoe string budgets.

Zatana Gets New Series – Everyone’s favorite magician is getting a new series courtesy of D.C. Comics. Alisa Kwitney will take the reigns of the project, with Mike Norton providing the art work, and Julian Totino Tedesco handling the cover art. The description of the book is below, With the cover at the top. It should be noted though that it’s a three part series, going on sale on November 29th for $5.99.

Leave the world of the mundane behind and step through the magical doors of Mystik U! After a tragic accident, a young Zatanna Zatara, under the guidance of Rose Psychic, enrolls in a mysterious university that teaches its students how to master their unique brands of magic. Will Zatanna fit in with her new classmates (Enchantress, Sargon the Sorcerer, Faust and more!) and unlock her true potential? Find out in this exciting bimonthly miniseries from novelist Alisa Kwitney (DESTINY) and Mike Norton (Revival, Runaways)!

Opinion: I have a lot of hope for this book. Zatana’s a great character and Kwitney isn’t someone who I’m too familiar with, so perhaps she’ll bring a fresh take on the idea of a magic university.

Quick Hits: Chris Columbus has returned to work on “Gremlins 3” and has given it a dark twist with Gizmo’s life hanging in the balance. “Galaxy Quests” t.v. series has added Paul Scheer taking over writing duties.
