Dolph Ziggler Update – Dolph Ziggler will be off t.v. following last night’s angle where he vacated the United States Championship. The idea is to keep him away from SmackDown t.v. tapings, but not live events.
Impact Wrestling News – David Sahadi’s replacement has been found in the form of former TNA Director, Michael Vedder. He’ll be the new play caller for the t.v. action. It should also be noted that Bill Behrens is back with the company and will be handling third party bookings. With the new additions, including Don Callis, the plan for 2018 is to rebuild their relationship with NJPW. I’m told the hope is to have NJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH on board with them going forward.
Dean Ambrose Update – The WWE has released a statement regarding Dean Ambrose’s injury. It says;
An MRI has shown suspicion for a high-grade triceps tendon injury, possibly a tear, so he is undergoing surgical exploration and most likely surgical repair of the torn triceps tendon,” WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann told the website “That surgery will be happening later this evening, and we should have some further updates either later tonight or tomorrow morning as to what the findings were, what the structures that were damaged were, and also a timeline for recovery.
