Solo Getting Good Reviews? – This may just be a planted story from Disney to help ease critics about the film, but after a lot of re-shoots, a change in directors, and a lot of internal turmoil about the movie’s quality; the first report about the film is that it’s not bad. German filmmaker Holger Frick (that sounds fake) is claiming to have seen the film and while he didn’t comment on the story did say it looked good. So that’s something.
‘Last Jedi’ Limps Off – While “Last Jedi” made gobs of money, it still fell short from expectations and only last two weeks in the Chinese market, as it has officially been pulled from all theaters. It had been cut to only about 20% of screens last week and now it’s completely gone from the country. Jimmy Wu, the chairman of the Chinese movie theater chain Lumiere Pavillons said that it “…performed much worse than expected.” The film continues to be slammed by audiences, who give it a 49% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 75% on IMDB. Both franchise lows for a main Saga entry.
Suicide Squad Releases Trailer – There’s a new Suicide Squad animated film, and it’s called “Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay”. It’s being released on DVD and Blu Ray but no announcement when.
