The Hashtag Show is known for their rumors.  This current one really has me intrigued.  They’re reporting that the Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson lead Black Adam film will feature him going toe to toe with none other than Hawkman.

Now this makes sense, depending on the continuity you wish to believe.    Hawkman in several stories features a man from Egypt, or an archaeologist in Egypt or aliens landing in Egypt.  Needless to say, no matter what backstory you take as cannon, Hawkman has ties to ancient Egypt.

Black Adam also has ties to that region as well, making the pairing a natural fit.

Apparently screen writer Adam Sztykiel of Rampage fame agrees, and has instilled him, Stargirl and Atom Smasher into the film.

In Other News…

Rotten Tomatoes is either protecting Captain Marvel from trolling or honest bad reviews.  Who’s to say?  The film has an 81% Critic score and a 34% fan score.  The site already purged a whopping 50,000+ reviews from the site.  The reviews were deemed to have been posted by “trolls”, yet it hasn’t appeared to help it’s score any.  The problem with the film has been the marketing and star Brie Larson’s demeanor throughout the whole thing.  It has spawned many people to be disenfranchised from the film; women included.  Though proponents of all thing feminism will just claim the women who didn’t like the film or marketing just have “internalized misogyny”, rather than respect their view points.  Such is life.

The film has opened with a $20.7 million opening night on Thursday.
