So Desperate For News, Journalists Make Up Undertaker Story? and More Wrestling News

In news too stupid to be made up, apparently word got around late last night that The Undertaker was rumored to be done with the WWE and all that stemmed from the fact that he had removed all traces of WWE from his Twitter bio.

Yet, there’s a problem with that.  He never had any reference to the WWE there in the first place.  That’s right, this is the biggest non-news story of the year, so far.  According to Last Word on Pro Wrestling(via Fightful), the future Hall of Famer is shown to have had never had WWE links or references.

They go on to point out that ‘Taker’s email is actually an e-mail address for a WWE related talent agency that handles bookings.

This story shows you how pathetic this scene can be when NO ONE does any research.

In Other News…

Sean Ross Sapp is under the impression that Randy Orton is the name being discussed in recent days about being given a ‘healthy’ contract offer.    Sapp goes on to not only confirm he talked to AEW about the Orton-rumor, but then shot down WrestleVotes original tweet when AEW told Sapp;

…the original tweet was likely a wrestler or agent hoping to leverage more money out of WWE by planting info.

Meaning AEW never offered Orton a deal of any sorts.  Meaning that WrestleVotes was still peddling lies.

AEW did add a new talent though, top UK wrestler Jimmy Havoc has agreed to a deal with the brand.   He’s worked for MLW, IMPACT Wrestling and just about anywhere that’ll have him. He’s one of the better character wrestlers in the game today, and AEW got a nice gem.

Quick Hits – Sasha Banks is still out of action following her match with Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble event; no word yet on what she’s suffering from but she’s expected back, hopefully, by Elimination Chamber.  The 51 year old PCO just signed with ROH and believes he’s got about seven years left on his bump-card before retirement.  According to Fightful, the Uso’s have not renewed their WWE deals as of yet.  FOX CEO Charlie Collier says Friday is ‘short term’ for SmackDown, which is ironic as SmackDown just posted an all-time low ratings wise.
