Major X-Men Actor Being Killed Off? New TMNT Game Coming and More!

(potential spoiler alert below)

In X-Men Phoenix news, (potential spoiler alert), it appears as though Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique is being killed off in the first part of the last Fox-X-Men film.  The character’s death coincides with the rise of Phoenix’s powers, which was basically how they did the third film; Last Stand.

In more X-Men news, it appears as though Marvel is teasing a new X-Men element to the comics.  Or perhaps an old one.  In a hand sketched helmet looking like Cerebro’s helmet, the date 5/5/92 is written next to it.  This seems to hint at a new Rob Leifeld project with X-Men, who was once a superstar with the Marvel brand before moving on.  Since X-Men got reacquired by Disney after Fox’s buyout, it seems like Marvel will finally re-cement the heroes at the top of the Marvel list.

Do you like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Do you like comics?  Do you like board games?  Yes?!  Oh…no?  Oh, well why are you here then?  However, if you are jacked about those three things, do we have a story for you!  The folks at IDW Games has launched a kickstarter to bring Teengae Mutant Ninja Turltes: City Fall and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Change is Constant to a table near you!  Why not just launch one is beyond me.

According to Comicbook.com the games can act as a stand alone, or expansions of the first turtles game, Shadows of the Past game, which came out in 2017.  What seperates this game?  A “Stan Sakai Pack”, which includes the Miaymoto Usagi, aka Usagi Yojimbo.  The game looks good, so here’s hoping it hits it’s mark.

While Marvel may of won the year for most comics sold, they also put out the most comics too.  However, the 2018 most purchased book belongs to DC Comics, as Action Comics #1000  topped Spider-Man #800 and it wasn’t evne close.  That being said, Action Comics’ #1000 was largely underwhelming, serving as a cerebration for the writers who are most iconic with the character in the modern times, and served to introduce that hack-ass Brian Michael Bendis to the book and character; seemingly ruining all the goodwill that Dan Jurgens and Peter Tomasi built since the Rebirth initiative.

In Other News…

For fans of Team Sonic Racing, the dev’s have released a new image featuring Metal Sonic, Zavok and Dr. Eggman as part of the upcoming release.  The game is slated to be a 2019 release and is on many people’s Most Anticipated List.  For some reason.
