MIB: International Looks Good, Stargirl Adds Villains and More!

The first look at Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson’s Men In Black: International came out today, and it actually looks good.  The film features a woman who spent her life looking for the Men in Black and finally found them.  She’s then paired with the best they have, Hemsowrth’s character.  The film takes place in England, and is their “international” branch of the MIB.  The only complaint, they use Fergie’s London Bridge song and it’s fucking garbage.  The trailer is good though, as long as you can stomach bad music.

Adam McKay has famously denied previous Marvel films in the past. He was an option for Edgar Wrigt’s replacement, and turned down Inhumans.  Now he apparently was approached for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, telling Happy, Sad, Confused Podcast;

We’ve talked a little bit. Yeah.  We were kicking around the idea of the Inhumans at one point. We’re always kind of talking. I think Feige is just the greatest and what they’re doing is amazing.

He also speculated that Marvel had a new film in mind too, saying;

When I was in the fourth or 5th grade I got into Nova of all people, and I think they’re kicking around a Nova idea now too.

DC has announced that the Injustice Society is coming to Stargirl.  The three names announced are Tigress, Sportsmaster and The Dragon King.  The Dragon King is notable due to his involvement in Stargirl’s origin story.  Tigress will be played Joy Osmanski, Sportsmaster will be played by Neil Hopkins, and The Dragon King will be played by Nelson Lee.

For you gaming fans who were stoked for Soulja Boy’s stole video game consoles that he was selling, it looks like the bell has tolled for him.  He just released the Retro SouljaBoy Mini but now he faces some serious legal action according to MTOnews.

They are reporting that he faces 10 years in prison for refurbishing Nintendo consoles and selling them under his banner, for a marked up price.  It’s not illegal to sell consoles on a secondary market, at a reduced rate.  However, what Soulja boy did was illegal, stealing Nintendo’s concepts and using them for himself.   The problem for Soulja boy is more massive than that, as he’s also used other companies designs for his consoles as well.

Bumblebee director Travis Knight had a cool idea for the film, featuring a retro looking Megatron.  In an interview with io9, Knight, who’s prequel film brings back more classic designs for the Transformer characters, revealed Megatron’s Lord of the Rings inspired arrival, saying;

I had this whole thing boarded where we’re where we see Megatron and he comes in like Sauron, just blowing sh*t up and laying waste to everything.  However, we then realized in this world, Megatron is currently frozen on Earth, as seen in 2007’s Transformers, so that was out.

The film has garnered positive reactions since debuting, so perhaps it will be the first good Transformer movie.

And finally, in a bit of Christmas goodness, the good folks at Twenty Century Fox debuted  a short film where The Predator rips Santa’s Reindeer to shreds.   It’s interesting.  Check it out below;
