X-Men Pissing Off Hinduism, Iconic Power Ranger’s Daughter Potentially Eyed for Future Ranger Role and More!

The X-Men comic book has developed a new story where X-Man is seeking to unite the world and one of the ways he intends on doing just that is by destroying religions he views are holding back the population.  One of those religions shown belongs to the Hindu faith.  With X-Man actively destroying these things, this obviously angered the President of the Univeral Society of Hinduism.   He released a statement where he demanded that Marvel apology for what they believe is Marvel calling Hinduism a “fake house of worship”, which they never said.  No word yet if Marvel has apologized.

A few years ago Josh Horowitz of MTV News interviewed Jason Mamoa about possibly appearing as Aquaman.  Mamoa at the time denied the rumors that he was playing Aquaman, and even told Horowitz that he could punch Mamoa in the face if he were lying.   Recently Mamoa, Patrick Wilson and Amber Heard sat down with Horowitz and the previous interview came up in conversation.  When it was prompted, Mamoa explained why he lied to Horowitz, saying;

I was sworn to secrecy by Zack, which I did not want to upset Zack.  He said you are not allowed to tell anyone and let me tell you…I needed to put food on the table. When he released Unite the Seven I was like ‘gaaaahhhhh’ right before Christmas, I was like ‘we’re gonna have food!

An unfinished cover for Heroes in Crisis #7 was leaked online, and was subsequently “pulled” from circulation.  This angered fans, but Tom King took to Twitter to explain why the cover was being pulled and it’s not for some controversial reason, but simply King didn’t like the cover.

An unfinished cover for Heroes in Crisis 7 was leaked prior to going through the standard DC approval process.  I did not like the cover. I discussed the situation with DC editorial who agreed with my objections. This cover will not be used. Thank you.

The world of Power Rangers might be getting their first legacy casting.  A rumor from PopLurker says that franchise icon Jason David Frank‘s daughter Jenna Rae Frank is currently up for the role of a new Red Ranger in an upcoming season of the franchise.   Jenna Rae is hoping to break into acting, and has even been spotted backstage with the WWE recently.  She’s apparently 14, so she is a bit young today to star in the show, but apparently the rumor states she wouldn’t be up for a role for at least two years, as that’s when the current incarnation of the Power Rangers series ends.  Jenna Rae is also allegedly following her father’s footsteps in the world of martial arts as well, so she should have the talent to pull the role off.
