Stargirl Casts Two JSA Members, Sonic the Hedgehog’s Possible Live Action Look and More!

DC Universe’s Stargirl has just cast two major names to play members of the Justice Society of America.  First up is Lou Ferrigno Jr., playing Rex Tyler aka Hourman.  Tyler was just played by Patrick J. Adams who debuted in the season one finale and season two premier of Legends of Tomorrow.  TVLine published this exert about the character, saying;

Specifically, Ferrigno Jr. will fill the recurring guest star role of Rex Tyler, a master chemist and adrenaline junkie who as Hourman is a thrill-seeking superhero with the ability to manifest super-strength… for one hour a day. A founding member of the Justice Society of America, Rex/Hourman struggles with balancing his life as a hero and father.

TVInsider is reporting that the show has also cast Wildcat, this time with Brian Stapf taking over the role.  J.R. Ramirez played the same character on Arrow in season three.

While news of a new Tremors movie has been hinted at for some time, we now have an official answer.  No reboot just yet, amigos.  Nope, instead defacto franchise star Michael Gross, who has played Burt Gummer in all the Tremors films since the original in 1990, will reprise his role.  Posting on Facebook, Gross said;

Tremors fans will be delighted to know I have just agreed to the terms of a contract for a SEVENTH film.  My best estimate is that Burt Gummer will begin his hunt for Graboids and other nefarious forms of wildlife in the fall of 2019.

With Aquaman about to drop in the theaters, the topic of conversation surrounding Jason Mamoa is the future of the DC film franchise.  When asked about the rumors of cast-mate Henry Cavill leaving the role of Superman, Mamoa told E!;

I just talked to Henry.  He’s absolutely not [leaving the character]. He loves the character. He’s not. One hundred percent.

In other rumor news, we may have ourselves the first look at Sonic the Hedgehog.  After the teaser image dropped earlier in the week, fans lost their collective minds; fearing that the character wouldn’t look right.  How can a blue, live-action, anthropomorphic hedgehog look right is anyone’s guess but an apparent leak did just happen earlier today.  The image features Chris Pratt and Sonic being too cool for school in a possible movie poster.  Much ado about nothing, eh?
