Title vs. Title Match Announced – Major news coming out of the Jericho Cruise, according to Dave Meltzer is that Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal and IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Johnny Impact have agreed to a match. The title vs. title match is the first ever for these two belts, and the first ever (that I’m aware of) for any IMPACT/TNA world champ and a ROH World champ. No arena, date or card has been announced yet for this match. It could come at ROH’s Final Battle or IMPACT Wrestling’s Homecoming
NJPW News – Los Ingobernables (Bushi/Takagi), Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado/Kanemaru) and Roppongi 3K (Sho/Yoh) have all tied at the top of the Super Juniors score card and will compete at NJPW’s Power Struggle 2018 in a round robin tournament.
In other NJPW news, Dave Meltzer is reporting that the Japanese pro wrestling company is gearing up to offer big money to WWE stars. While some are assuming this means Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, it could mean never before seen talent leaving WWE for NJPW. Meltzer is quoted as saying;
There were some offers that have been made to some guys in WWE that surprised me in the sense of how much they could make outside of WWE. One person who is there got an offer for ridiculous money for way less dates and it very much surprised me. This would be one of the top guys in WWE. New Japan is weird but they are willing to pay real big money like they did with Jericho.
