WWE Could Lose Millions, Major Change to NWA 70th Show and More! – WrestleCorp News

WWE Could Lose Millions – Deadline’s Dade Hayes is citing Wall Street analyst  Eric Handler of MKM Partners in a new report that would be truly awful for the WWE’s bottom line.

Firstly, a delay, move of venue or cancellation of the Crown Jewel event would coast the WWE $2-$3 million in revenue for their fourth quarter.  It gets even worse, because this would more than likely end the agreement the WWE has with Saudi Arabia and would end up costing the WWE nearly $12-$16 million dollars in 2019 alone.

While some experts write this off as a minor issue for the company, considering the new t.v. deals, the Fox t.v. deal was reported to have an opt out on Fox’s end should SmackDown fall below a certain rating point; which is entirely possible considering how fast the WWE is seeking in ratings.

NWA 70 News – The 70th Anniversary of the NWA is almost upon us but a major change has been made as J.J. Dillon has had to pull out of the event due to personal issues.  The NWA has announced that Magnum T.A. will fill in for Dillon; who was set to hand the NWA National Title to the winner of the tournament.

NJPW Interested in Former Talent? – Dave Meltzer is reporting that New Japan Pro Wrestling is interested in re-signing Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and Shinsuke Nakamura once their deals are up.  It’s rumored those deals are up in January, as that would be three years to the date since they signed with the company but Meltzer is under the impression that only Gallows would be interested in returning to the promotion.  Though that being said, I think all three might be interested considering how terribly they’ve all been booked.

Quick Hits – It’s being reported by Fightful that New Japan Pro Wrestling has started cracking down on GIF makers who utilize their footage.  WWE had added Madusa to the WWE Evolution event.  WWE has formally announced the signing of Matt Riddle, Mia Yim, Chelsea Green, Humberto Carrillo (Ultimo Ninja), Punishment Martinez (Luis Martinez), former rugby player Daniel Vidot of Queensland, Australia and Lagos born basketball player Jordan Omogbehin.
