New Black Lighting Character Coming? New ‘Dracula’ Series and More! – ComicCorp News

Black Lighting Creator Creates New Character – The creator of Black Lighting Tony Isabella has created a new albino superhero for the Black Lighting comic series and wants to introduce him if he ever gets the chance to write for the book again.  In talking to Comicbook.com, Isabella commented on his decision to not just create an albino hero but changing Tobias Whale’s albinism, saying;

Tobias Whale is not an albino in the new comic book series, because I got tired of every albino being a villain in comics.  But I have promised Krondon that I will create, and have created a new albino superhero. It’s just a question of, if I do more Black Lightning stories, I’ll use him there — if not, I’ll use him somewhere else.

Krondon is the nickname for actor Marvin Jones III, the man who plays Whale on the Black Lighting tv series.  It’s a nice nod for Isabella to create a new minority hero that has often been seen as a villain in the art form.

New Dracula Series Coming? – BBC One and Netflix is working on a new series, that will be lead by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.  It’s going to be a three-part 90 minute series based off of Bram Stoker’s novel.  Moffat and Gatiss put out a joint statement, saying;

There have always been stories about great evil.  What’s special about ‘Dracula,’ is that Bram Stoker gave evil its own hero.

Quick Hits –  The Arrowverse crossoverw ill feature Superman in his iconic black and silver suit.  DC has announced that Suicide Squad #50 will end the series and will feature Jim Lee and Scott Williams and Francesco Mattina working on the covers of the series end, while Diogenes Neves and Scott Hanna will provide the internal art. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has seen a dramatic loss of physical copy sales, an all time low, according to UK outlet Chart Track.  Brandon Routh and the Legends of Tomorrow crew spoofed the current trend of political ads and posted a new video putting over Legends of Tomorrow as the best show in the world of the Arrowverse.
