Swamp Thing Casting – DC Universe is helping everyone forget about the Arrowverse and the awfulness that most of it is producing. Deadline is reporting that the new Swamp Thing show for DC Universe has cast two major roles for the upcoming series. First is Crystal Reed of Gotham and Teen Wolf fame. She’ll be taking on the lead female role Abigail Arcane, the daughter of the mad scientist Anton Arcane; the main villain. Abigail is also the love interest for the man turned monster that is Swamp Thing.

Joining her will be Maria Sten from Straight Outta Compton, as Liz Tremayne, a tabloid journalist who is best friends with Abby.

No word yet on who’s playing Anton or Swamp Thing.

Daredevil Season 3 Teaser – Not much is shown in the teaser, just Matt sitting in what I believe to be a Catholic Church, lamenting about his poor choice in careers before ultimately decreeing that he’s way more into the (Dare)Devil than people realize. Meh

Quick Hits – Top Gun 2 is expected to start filming this month in San Diego. Spoilers for Iron Fist‘s 2nd season, apparently Danny Rand gave his powers to Colleen to end the season, and now she can use it with the sword. Whatever. Mattel has launched a movie division, built around Robbie Brenner who’ll develop films for Barbie, He-Man, Hot Wheels, Max Steel and other properties.
