Scurll Passes Blame for ‘All In’, Kenny Omega on Why They’re Bette Than WWE and More! – WrestleCorp News

Marty Scurll Addresses ‘All In’ Issue – Marty Scurll wants you to know that he didn’t go over with All In, the show itself went over.  Scurll claims that many matches went over the time allocated, and that his match got targeted due to the issues prior, saying;

Normally I don’t like to reveal the curtain back too much, but in this case I will.  [My match] went a minute over. People were saying like 14 minutes over. No, the show ran 14 minutes over. A bunch of the other matches went over.

Our match is crucified because we were the match before last. It looks like ‘oh these guys went over.’ No, no, no…the show went over.

Scurll was quick to point to Nick Jackson, who told Scurll to not shorten the match, saying;

Before I went out [Nick] Jackson said to me and Okada, ‘Guys whatever you do, don’t cut anything.  Just do whatever you do. Even if we go dark tonight, it’s fine. Just do what you gotta do.

While Scurll was quick to shoot down any rumors on having heat, and passing the buck due booking; this is concerning.  If I’m main eventing a pay per view and the booker tells the guy under me that it’s ok to go over and force my match off the air, I’d never work for the promotion again.  If there’s an All In 2, they can’t rely on their friends again.  The commentators were shit, the timing was shit, they were unprepared and if Scurll is telling the truth unprofessional.   Why would you prioritize your buddy over the main event?  Come on.

Kenny Omega on WWE – Despite fans of the WWE clamoring for guys like Kenny Omega to sign with the WWE, Omega keeps making it clear where his priorities are.  In an interview with the hacky Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard, Omega talked about Pentagon having ‘it’, and WWE’s product.  In regards to the product, Kenny Omega revealed how he sees the comparison, saying;

Fans, wrestlers, and even the general public have been conditioned to believe that there’s an enormous skill gap between WWE and everyone else. A major league and a minor league. It’s either you’re there or you’re just not good enough. While it’s true their collection of talent is undeniable, a small group of us have bet on ourselves and on the unique alternative vision we have for pro wrestling. What they can offer in flash, we can offer in substance. While their writers produce TV for a certain demographic, we’re producing stories for fans that want something a little different.

Cody Rhodes on All In 2 – Cody Rhodes talked to IMPACT interviewer Alicia Atout after All In, and revealed that he knows fans want more, saying;

The 10,000 plus people last night felt like 100,000 people.  I don’t want to jump to say ‘I’m ready to do it again,’ but there’s definitely a thirst for what we’re offering. So, that’s the focus now, I think. What what do we do next?

Quick Hits – Corey Graves tried to explain away why The Shield were detained only for two hours in a local country jail.  It’s a stupid reason and it insults fans, so I’m not posting it.  Lanny Poffo finally addressed the long rumored romance between a much older Randy Savage and an underage Stephanie McMahon by saying….”I don’t know.”  Nia Jax is dealing with a leg injury.  James Ellsworth was backstage last night to film stuff for the WWE Network.  Tessa Blanchard has agreed to work for Jeanie Buss and her Women of Wrestling revival.  The WGN pre-show pulled in over 196,000 viewers according to Show Buzz Daily.
