Rotten Tomatoes Still Don’t Get It, Black Adam News and More! – ComicCorp News

Rotten Tomatoes Makes Changes – But the wrong ones…The issue with Rotten Tomatoes wasn’t addressed today, despite demands by many movie fans to do just that.  Instead the movie aggregate will be finding ways to get more non-white, non-male movie reviewers on the critics side of thing.  This seems to be in response to the horrid response  A Wrinkle in Time got. despite it not getting many favorable reviews from too many people.  They’re also going to allow video submissions which I think is a bad idea.  If you can’t write out an articulate critiquing of a film, should you really be considered a critic?

The critics side of thins is where most fans have issues with the site, as each reviewer reviews and rates films in different methods.  A positive review should be pretty obvious but it’s not always the case.  Some critics would argue 2.5 stars to be a good score, while others dismiss it.  A simple grading mechanic, on the site for the critics to select would help solve a lot of issues.  Let the critics grade the film as a teacher would.  Then your metric has more weight to it.

Is Black Adam Happening? – Dwayne Johnson is not having the best of runs at the Box Office right now.  After taking on several terrible projects, and Jumanji, the man also known as The Rock needs a hit; and that’s why it’s safe to say he’s behind Black Adam.  When talking to Collider, producer Hiram Garcia was very adamant about Black Adam happening, despite him not being in Shazam!‘s film.

Black Adam is definitely happening. We’re actually very deep into a script on it right now, which is coming along really well. I’m really excited with the story we’ve crafted. Look, I’ve always been a huge comic book fan. I’ve always had this dream, I’ve always wanted to—You know, you kind of have like these goals of like, ‘One day I’d love to be able to do this and this,’ and making a superhero movie was definitely always one of my dreams. For the longest time, you know you kind of have this living superhero in Dwayne Johnson, so I was always trying to figure out what’s the perfect character that will kind of fit him and his look and his build and his kind of edge and the attitude he’s got.
