GOTG 3 Delayed? New Outsiders Book Announced and More! – ComicCorp News

Guardians of the Galaxy on Hold – The 3rd installment of the popular Marvel movie franchise has been put on hold.  The Hollywood Reporter claims the film is on hiatus as everyone scrambles to figure out how to move on in the wake of the James Gunn firing.  And doesn’t appear to be going well as apparently a portion of the crew (not cast members) have been dismissed so they may be able to obtain new work.  While the film is expected to still be made, as of now, the hectic nature of the development cannot be ignored.

DC Relaunching Classic Title –  DC is relaunching Batman and The Outsiders for December, according to SyFy Wire.  The line up will include Batman (duh), perennial title members, Black Lighting and Katana, new Bat-protege The Signal,  and Orphan (Cassandra Cain).  Bryan Edward Hill will write the book with Dexter Soy handling the art.  The cast of characters just concluded their run in an arch for Detective Comics.  The teams debut came in 1983 in the final issue of the Brave and the Bold.

Quick Hits  – Tom Hardy is currently signed for a Venom trilogy.  In other news surrounding the project, Sony is hoping for a PG-13 rating for Venom, while also respecting the characters roots. Dominic Monaghan has been cast in Star Wars IX in an unknown role.
