‘Vampyr’ Gets Big News, Ash Is a Liar Apparently and More! – ComicCorp News

Vampyr Jumping to TV? –  Vampyr is a hit video game, garnering rave reviews.  It’s a tale of a doctor with vampiric abilities  who has to deal with a series of morality questioning events.  The game sold around 450,000 units its first month, which I think is a good thing.  It became the top game for June of 2018 in the US and European markets.  What’s a game to do after meeting with such success?

Adaptation.  Deadline is reporting that Fox 21 Television Studios, soon to be owned by Disney have acquired the rights to produce Vampry as a t.v. series.    It’ll feature former Supernatural head, McG’s Wonderland Sound & Vision along with DJ2 Entertainment.  The only problem falls with the acquisition of of the Fox Studio.  Will the House of Mouse be interested in the property once they assume control?  We’ll see.

Bruce Campbell’s Retirement Was a Lie – Sort of.  Bruce Campbell said that after the end of his Ash vs. Evil Dead series on Star, that he would retire from the roll for good, and thanked everyone involved for the character.  However, that retirement didn’t last long as he’ll reprise the character one more time in a new video game called, this according to Bloody Disgusting.  Campbell’s not new to the Evil Dead video game franchise, lending his likeness to a view and even starring in a commercial or two for the games.

When previously asked about the future, Campbell said about the franchise;

I have previous obligations I have to fulfill. They are doing a video game. A whole immersive kind of dealio. I’ll be Ash for that, because I wouldn’t want someone else’s voice hamming it up.

Not really a newsworthy quote, but how many times do you get to quote someone who says ‘dealio’.

Quick Hits – Lauren Cohan is claiming to be leaving the Walking Dead due to being too comfortable in the role of Maggie these days.  The Russo’s released a fake Avengers 4 title to troll fans.  The Witcher’s audition leaks has fans concerned.
