Arrowverse Moving to the Weekend? Metal Gear Solid Movie News and More! – ComicCorp News

All Kinds of Arrowverse News – CW President Mark Pedowitz has confirmed two major pieces of Batman news at the Television Critics Association, firstly that he DOES exist in the Arrowverse but will not be introduced anyThere’s no discussion about a series,” Pedowitz said.

Batman already exists in the Arrowverse because last season Oliver Queen mentioned his name at one point, And Batwoman, if the series goes forward, lives in Gotham. There’s no plan at this time to have Batman appear.time soon.

As for Batwoman, Pedowitz talked about Batwoman, saying;

We’ll do a pilot for mid-season, whether it goes to series, I cannot tell you.  We have five [DC shows] on the air and just added a sixth night.

He also revealed that right now no Arrowverse series are scheduled to end as of right now, saying;

Shows doe eventually end, we have no plans yet to end one or any of them.  We’ll see where we come out as the season goes on.

With Sunday now becoming a new night of original content, Pedowitz revealed that Saturday could open up as well, saying;

We have to see how Sunday works.  If it does work out and there is support, I’m sure it’s a conversation with our board. I know both parent Warner Bros. and CBS are very happy with The CW’s business model. They allowed us to grow into a sixth night and hopefully a seventh. They’re very happy with how we’re growing, and I expect with the new ownership that will continue.

Metal Gear Solid Movie News – Jordan Vogt-Roberts is hellbent on getting an R-rating for his adaptation of the widely popular Metal Gear Solid film.  He was quoted as saying by Collider as saying;

It’s about doing it for a price so you can make the riskier, balls-to-the-wall, Kojima-san version of it.

However, Vogt-Roberts was very clear about the difficulties of taking on the story.  Due to the vast and broad scope of the story, it’s hard to narrow down the story into 100+ minute film, saying;

The thing about Metal Gear is it’s intentionally sprawling and it’s intentionally dense.  It’d be super easy to do one sliver of it or do too much at once. And we’ve spent the last little bit really trying to figure out, to me, the most Kojima-san inspired way to tackle as much of that story through a device that I think allows you to tap in…how to put this without spoiling it? Regardless, we have a device that I think allows us to respect the breadth of the franchise, respect the sprawling nature of the franchise, respect the somewhat convoluted nature of the franchise at times. But to still show you the mirrors. What I mean by that is all those timelines fundamentally exist because they show the repetition of war throughout time. They show the repetition and the cycle of pain throughout time. So it’s almost impossible to tell just one story now. You need the full throughline of what this game is about.

Quick Hits – Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot film has began production.  Stan Lee has formally announced that he’ll no longer be doing public autograph signings.  Despite rumors, Fallout 76‘s beta launch will include the full game.  CBS’s All Access will launch a new series starring Patrick Stewart, featuring his return to the Star Trek universe as Captain Jean-Luc Picard
