Female Gundam in Live Action? – Weekly Playboy did an interview with Sunrise’s President Miyakawa Yasuo about the future of the Gundam franchise.  During the interview Miyakawa revealed that they’re going to be focusing on women in their live action franchise, saying;

We are also aware of the cultural movement shaking the U.S. these days. As such, we are looking into how the presence of Gundam’s many female characters can be enhanced in this live-action film

MI: Fallout Reveal Why Renner Skipped – Christopher McQuarrie is the director for Mission: Impossible – Fallout and he revealed to Empire why franchise regular Jeremy Renner missed this film.  When speaking to them, McQuarrie said;

Jeremy had his commitment to Avengers, which ironically they ended up not exercising, and we didn’t know what the [sixth Mission] movie was, so we couldn’t provide a schedule. We needed absolute freedom. The unfortunate thing for Jeremy is that he got caught in this perfect storm of, one can’t use you and one doesn’t know how to, given the massive complications they had with Avengers.”
