Top Indy Star WWE Bound? – Matt Riddle is rumored to the WWE as of this weekend. Dave Meltzer pointed out that Riddle cancelled shows on SummerSlam weekend, leading many to believe he’s heading to the WWE. Meltzer claims that both the WWE and NJPW have interest in Riddle but NJPW, in his own words, claims would only want Riddle for American dates. That’s because Riddle is an avid pothead, and NJPW operates out of Japan, which has strict drug laws. Their stance on pot actually was the reason why Matt Sydal is not only not allowed back in the country but also spent time in a Japanese prison, for bringing synthetic pot with him into customs.
Meltzer pointed out that Riddle wasn’t doing anything of relevant as of late, and unless he wanted to go to ROH, which he apparently doesn’t, then the WWE made the most sense. Riddle himself though have gone out and said on numerous occasions that he likes his freedom and if he goes to the WWE and is micromanaged, then he doens’t see himself liking it there. And they will micromanage him. Riddle isn’t a big enough name not to.
Chelsea Green Reveals a Reason Why She Wants in the WWE – Chelsea Green, otherwise known as Laurel Van Ness of IMPACT Wrestling fame, spoke to The Roman Show recently and revealed one big reason why she wants in the WWE, saying;
He inspires me. I want to be there (WWE) more now because I want to spend time with him.
We do try to keep wrestling separate from our relationship. I always wanted to be there no matter what and I want to stay true to that. I worked up kind of the wrestling ladder to get there. I hope we can be there to be together. He does inspire me with my character. Sometimes we sit down and go through different things I can do things with my character because he has been doing it for so long.
Bound For Glory News – Last night during IMPACT Wrestling’s widely praised Slammiversary XVI event, the company announced plans to run their biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory in New York. The event will be live on pay per view from New York City, New York at the Melrose Ballroom. It’s a smaller, more intimate venue much like the Rebel Entertainment Complex.
Quick Hits – The half-pint, too serious for his own good, Tazz has come out and claimed to have named the “T-Bone” suplex. Cody Rhodes will be returning to Arrow in season 7 for an unknown number of episodes, reprising his role as Sampson. Even IMPACT Wrestling’s Brian Cage knows the fans want Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar and not Reigns vs. Lesnar again. David Arquette fractured a rib while wrestling at the CWFH event last weekend.
