James Gunn Fired From Marvel, ‘Young Justice’ Season 3 Trailer Debuts and More! – ComicCorp News

James Gunn Fired – Offensive tweets from acclaimed and popular director James Gunn were dug up over the last few days and caught the attention of Disney.  The tweets were all jokes, but were in the vein of pedophilia, rape, and other offensive topics that some found distasteful.  The tweets were from way back, dating to at least 2012, some even older apparently.  Some have voiced their approval of his firing, while more have denounced it; citing Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr. as examples of hypocrisy within the House of Mouse.  The current conversation is revolving around how much significance one’s past has on their present.

Arrowverse Sizzle Real – The first look at the 7th season of the collective Arrowverse has dropped.  In it we see some hints to Batwoman, including a Flash-symbol, akin to Batman’s.  What we don’t actually get though is a look at Batwoman.

Young Justice Season 3 Trailer Debuts – The third season of Young Justice has finally got a trailer.  After about two minutes or so of reviews, the final near 3 minutes of the trailer focus on the new content.  It seems to feature a fractured team stemming from the conclusion of the events of the second season, forced to come back together to stop a meta-human smuggling ring.  It’s pretty impressive.

Quick Hits – The Clone Wars animated series is returning in a twelve episode season on the Disney streaming service.  Geoff Johns will in fact write a new Shazam! title but no details have been announced.  Johns is also releasing the Three Jokers book on the new DC Black Label imprint.   Johns also had details about his Killing Zone imprint, saying that it’s purpose is to “…channel what my frustration with the political climate in America.”
