The story is adapted from the serialized story of the same name which got started in Japanese magazines in August of 2016.

The press release is below.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is set in a superpowered society, where there is nothing ordinary about evil anymore. Heroes, trained and licensed to protect and defend the public against supervillains, stand above all the rest. Not everyone can be a hero, however, and there are those who would use their powers to serve the people without legal sanction. But do they fight for justice in the shadows, or for reasons known only to themselves? Whatever they fight for, they are called…vigilantes.

Major Name Lined Up for ‘Y: The Last Man’ – FX is currently in talks wit Jodie Foster to star in Y: The Last Man television series.  She’s in talk to play Jennifer Brown, the mother of main character Yorick “Y” Brown.    The story is set up to be a big hit in modern times, as there are very few male characters at all in the series.  With the rise of many female centric movements, this could appeal to many of those groups.  While no other actors are named for the series yet, Elijah Wood has expressed and interest in doing the role.
