Fox Has Finally Decided, Crunchyroll to be Bought Out? and More! – ComicCorp News

Disney or Comcast? –  Well, this will make MCU fans happy.  Bloomberg is reporting that Disney will in fact acquire the Fox assets after Disney upped their bid.  Comcast had the best bid until Disney offered a 23th hour offer that was even better still.  The deal now just needs to pass antitrust approval regulations, which aren’t expected to be a problem considering At&T just acquired Warner Bros.

Cruncyroll Being Courted? – Speaking of AT&T, apparently they’re looking at acquiring Crunchyroll.  Recode is reporting that AT&T is going all in on acquiring the streaming service, as well as the rest of the assets owned by Otter Media.  Crunchyroll’s rival, Funimation, was recently purchased by Sony last year.  The acquisition of Otter Media also includes VRV, Fullscreen and YouTube powerhouse Rooster Teeth.

Family Arrested Playing Pokemon Go – An elderly man, Robert Matteuzzi – a 71 year old man – and his 31 year old son – Angelo –  were arrested on assault charges after a third player suffered a “traumatic” eye injury over a ‘stolen gym’.  The third party and alleged victim claimed that the pair was cheating, and threw  a Gatorade bottle at the father and son, causing the incident.  According to the St. Louis Dispatch;

The elder Matteuzzi later found the victim in another area and threw the bottle back at him, hitting him in the face, Waggoner wrote. All three men then got into a fight.  A bystander took video of the encounter and caught Robert Matteuzzi holding the victim down while his son hit the victim’s head and face several times, [Kirkwood Police Officer Matthew] Waggoner wrote. The victim suffered cuts to his face, a ‘traumatic’ eye injury and a broken finger tip.
