Stan Lee Almost Robbed at Gunpoint, ‘Smallville’ Star Interested in ‘Arrow’ and More! – ComicCorp News

Cops Swarm Stan Lee’s House – According to the Daily Mail, so take it with the tiniest pinch of salt, police were called to Stan Lee’s home after two armed men were seen on his private and enclosed property.  The police responded around 7:30 Thursday night, and apparently detained two armed men who were looking to rob the house.  According to the LAPD, as quoted by the Daily Mail;

Officers were called to a property on the 9100 block of Oriole Way at 7.30pm after reports of an assault. It was claimed that a suspect had a gun and was threatening.

Officers detained two individuals that matched the description and an investigation is ongoing. Three units are still on scene including officers and detectives.

This is happening all while Stan Lee sues POW Entertainment, allegations against his daughter for elder abuse, and sexual misconduct allegations against him.  So yeah.  Dude’s in his 90’s and is living a life.

Smallville Meets Arrow? – Former Green Arrow Justin Hartley recently commented to cast mate Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast that he’d be open to doing a spot on “Arrow” if the character got him excited.  On the same podcast, he revealed that he heard talks of a Green Arrow spinoff but called “Metropolis” and would feature Lois Lane.  Lane and Hartley’s Oliver Queen were a couple for some time on the show.  He commented on the “Inside of You” podcast that;

While I was on the show, while I was on Smallville, there were several different spinoff ideas that they had. They wanted to do a spinoff called Metropolis or something like that, I heard whispers of that.  It was Lois and Oliver in Metropolis, and whatever that was. They were trying to extend the life of the show.

This is the first time fans had heard of a Green Arrow centric show, as rumors began pouring out in 2010 or so that a Green Arrow show was in the words, and would presumably star Hartley.  The show would of taken place after the events of Smallville, but minus Chloe Sullivan.  Then the rumor became a prequel to Smallville, featuring Queen but not Hartley.  However, it eventually morphed into what is now “Arrow” a story about the hooded archer but one no longer connected to the Smallville cannon.

Quick Hits – Speaking to GQ, Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland revealed the delay in a renewal was caused by Dan Harmon didn’t want to “have to take 12 other jobs while we’re working on Season 4″, and thus got the raise they wanted.  Norman Reedus posted a photo of him hugging Andrew Lincoln on the set of the Walking Dead, which is currently filming it’s 9th season.  This all but confirms Lincoln’s expected departure in season 9.  Geoff Johns hints that Wonder Woman 2 will take place 1984.
