MITB Rumors Running Amuck, Tessa Talks Not Being Under Contract in IMPACT and More! – WrestleCorp News

MITB Rumors – Several online outlets with less credibility than most, claim that they hear that a SmackDown heel will take the SmackDown MITB Briefcase, while a RAW face will win the Women’s MITB Briefcase.  PWInsider though is someone of significant relevance though, and they’re claiming that Big E is seemingly the man who will represent The New Day in the MITB match.  The trio have a spot in the match but only one, and no one’s been announced yet.

WOH Heading to WWE? – The Women of Honor division took a major hit recently as Deonna Purrazzo has apparently been signed by WWE.  She originally signed with a six month contract but opted of her deal according to PWInsider in order to sign with the NXT brand.  She’s expected to start later this summer.

IMPACT Media Call Notes – Tessa Blanchard joined Josh Mathews on today’s conference call and revealed some interesting tidbits.  Firstly, she gives credit to Gail Kim and Jimmy Jacobs for their “great minds” for wrestling.  In what might be a hopeful thing, Tessa puts over Rachel Ellering and her talent.  She also puts over intergender wrestling, saying that women wrestling men forces women to up their game in the ring.  She claims her match with Brian Cage was one of her favorites.

Blanchard claims she’s currently unsigned by the company but is talking to them about a deal.  Interestingly enough, despite her father being the “worker” of the Four Horsemen, Tessa wants noting to do with a stable.

Quick Hits – Day 3 of CM Punk and Colt Cabana’s trial continues, as the prosecution continues their case of “expert eye witnesses” dismissing Punk’s claim of working with a staph infection.  The defense has seemingly not presented their case yet.   David Arquette claims he’s been training in wrestling recently to try and take back some of the dignity his name has lost since winning the WCW World title back in 2000.  Us Magazine claim that John Cena and Nikki Bella are back together, despite Bella’s claim to the contrary.  Brandi Rhodes claims she’ll be recovered from her broken collarbone injury and will back in the ring in as little as two weeks.
