First Look at Matt Groening’s New Netflix Series – The co-creator of “The Simpsons” and “Futurama” is about to launch his third series on Netflix called “Disenchantment”.    The series follows other industry trends, producing animated content directed towards adults.   The series is led by  Abbi Jacobson as Bean, Eric Andre as Luci and Nat Faxon as Elfo.

HBO Announces Watchmen Cast – The series, described as a remix of the original twelve issues, is already off to an interesting, if not shaky start.  The story won’t follow the content of the comics and the first few names that are announced are being toted as the stars of the series.  Yikes.  The first few names are Regina King, Don Johnson (YUP, that Don Johnson), Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, and Andrew Howard.

 

DC Announces Manga Projects – DC Comics is re-releasing two Manga-inspired books in English later this year.  The books were done by Shiori Teshirogi’s series from “Batman” and “The Justice League” and will be released in English on October 23rd of the his year.  The Manga is described as;

A young boy from Japan travels to Gotham City on a mission. A year before, his two parents—both scientists—were presumably killed in an expolosion that destroyed an experimental power plant. But the boy believes they may still be alive. At the very least, he’s determined to find out what actually happened. But his quest soon leads to a run-in with some powerful forces—forces that require help from both Batman and the Justice League!

Quick Hits –  Current rumors have Donald Glover in Ryan Coogler’s sights to play the next villain of the film.  “Zombieland’s” sequel is titled “Zombieland Too” and will feature a sort of super-zombie, that the original four characters will have to deal with.   Good news ‘Krypton’ fans, you’re getting a second season over on SyFy.  Battlefield V reverses industry trend and announces that a single player campaign will be part of the game.  Liam Neeson is in talks to join Chris Hemsorth and Tessa Thompson in the “Men in Black” reboot. Warner Bros. released a hilarious Instagram video where Robin congratulates Deathstroke for his success in this past weekends “Deadpool 2” release. It’s pretty funny.
