Major Name Joining Arrowverse, iZombie Season Five News and More! – ComicCorp News

Arrowverse Gets New Name – The big news involving The Arrowverse that Stephen Amell was hinting at happens to be the forthcoming debut of Kate Kane, also known as Batwoman.  The character and Gotham City will dbut in next season’s Crossover event, but no word yet on who’ll be playing her.

Stephen Amell made the announcement, saying;

We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character. For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.

Also announced was the group that Team Arrow and Oliver will have to deal with next year; the Longbow Hunters.  They’ll be name dropped in the season finale, much like Damian Darhk was in season 3’s finale.  So you can expect the Longbow Hunters, who emerged during Mike Grell’s run on the book back in 1987.

iZombie News – While fans rejoiced over the announcement that “iZombie” would get a fifth season, we also have news now that the season five will also be it’s final season.  The show’s 4th season finale is next week and we’ll know more about what we can expect from the sendoff season after Season 4 wraps.  With the drastic change of the zombie outbreak being the driving force for the current season, and the threat of United States Military involvement hovering over the city for the entirety of this year’s arc, it’s possible we see a major shake up again.

Gotham Adds New Names – Gotham Season Five may also serve as the end for another DC property but Fox is making sure that this prequel ends with an incredible arc.  Executive Producer John Stephens claims that names like Scarface, Ventriloquist, Mother, Orphan and Lady Shiva are all expected to pop up in season five.  He’s quoted as saying;

There are a whole bunch of characters I want to see that I feel the viewers at large aren’t fully aware of, like Scarface or Ventriloquist.  There’s a great dark version of that character somewhere out there who I would like to see come out. Some characters we know we want to see are Mother and Orphan. We want to see Lady Shiva. We are going to see all those characters in Season 5.

Quick Hits – ‘Wayward Sisters’s didn’t get picked up for a full series order due to the CW President Mark Pedowitz believing other shows had better pilots and opportunities going forward.  Bernard Chang confirms that issue 24 of the “New Superman” series will be it’s last.
