‘Batman: TAS’ to get Board Game, Nintendo Switch Gets Online Function and More! – ComicCorp News

‘Batman: TAS’ Gets Board Game – “Batman The Animated Series” is getting a second life, as an IDW backed board game!  IDW is releasing a new board game called “Batman: The Animated Series – Gotham Under Siege”.  The game is intended for one (WAHOO!) or five players, who can pick either Batman, Batgirl, Robin, Commissioner Gordon and Rene Montoya or Catwoman.  For clarity, the Gordon/Montoya piece is a singular piece with two characters.  It’s designed by Richard Launius, who did “Elder Sign”.  You can check out the game and details here.

Switch Online – Nintendo Switch has revealed their online play mechanics.  It’ll launch in September and be called Nintendo Switch Online, a paid service just like the other major consoles.  It’ll allow fans to play classic NES titles, save data for most games and will introduce a smartphone app.  It’ll also support multiplayer/cooperative-play options.  Games supported that have been announced are Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Delux, Mario Tennis Aces and Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido.  Some of the NES titles include Super Mari Bros. 3, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda with more to be announced later.  The prices are monthly, quarterly or yearly at $3.99, $12.99 and $34.99 respectively.

Smallville Revival Petition Launched? – Fans of “Smallville”, who want to talk about something but not the arrest of Allison Mack, may finally have their wish.  A petition on Change.Org is asking for the series to comeback for a live-action season 11 based off of the story arcs from the comics.  For those who don’t know, there is a canonical season 11 but it’s in comic form, not live action.  The petition wants to see the comic be made into a live action iteration.   You can join the petition by click here.

Quick Hits – Despite being the central reason that the Infinity Gauntlet ended in the comics, The Russo’s (who directed Infinity War) confirmed that Adam Warlock is not showing up in their stories.  After rumors of Sylvester Stallone starring in Rambo V broke yesterday, today Stallone took to Instagram and released this photo, thus confirming the film.  Deadline is reporting that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will reunite for “Bill and Ted Face the Music”, the third in the iconic 80’s music infused, coming-of-age-time-travel adventure.  CW has cancelled ‘Life Sentence’, thus opening up the possibility that ‘iZombie’ gets renewed.
