DC Announces Major New TV Series, Major Arrow Star Gone? and More! – ComicCorp News

DC TV News – DC has announced that their streaming service is coming in hard and fast.  The service, which will be named the DC Universe, will feature not just the new ‘Titans’ series, or the third season of the ‘Young Justice’, but we’ll also get an animated Harley Quinn series and a live-action Swamp thing series.

Yup, they’re coming in hard.    The new website is describing itself as;

DC Universe is a first-of-its kind, immersive digital experience designed just for DC fans.  One of the many incredible things your membership will include is unlimited access to the following exclusive original series.

We knew about Young Justice, andTitans, and heard rumors of the Harley Quinn, but the new announcement of “Swamp Thing” was a big deal.  The series will be executed produced by James Wan of “Aquaman” fame, and will be written by Mark Verhedien and Gary Dauberman.  They’ll also serve as showrunners if the series gets picked up.  Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett will co-produce.

When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.

No announcement has been made as to win the service will launch but it’s expected later this year.  Fan s can go to the

Major Arrow Star Gone? – It’s been rumored that Paul Blackthorne will be leaving ‘Arrow’ at the end of the current season.  This follows the departure of Willa Holland, and series showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle.  With Stephen Amell teasing a major season finale, it could be the shakeup the show needs, and we could see far more departures from the show.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Drops – The third official trailer and the first with real depth to it has released.  The game is set 12 years prior to the original Red Dead Redemption, and may actually see the return of Red Harlow from the first Red Dead game.  The first Red Dead game, titled ‘Revolver’ was set in the 1880’s, about ten years or so prior to the events of the 3rd game in the series.    There’s also the possibility that it’s not Harlow, I’m merely speculating.  There’s also another shot of a man with similar scars to Harlow, but as this is ten years after the fact, and those scars look new, it’s far more likely that it’s John Marsters, the tragic hero of the second Red Dead Game, the first Red Dead Redemption.  Either way, this is merely speculation so feel free to watch the trailer yourself and make your own decision.

Quick Hits – Steam is now able to support the Nintendo Switch Pro controller.   Ryan Reynolds believes that there will be a third with Deadpool, but it probably will be with in an ‘X-Force’ film; though this all before the Fox/Disney deal is finalized so who knows what’ll happen.
