Double Dare Coming Back? Feige Drops Hints to MCU’s Future and More! – ComicCorp News

Double Dare Revival in the Works – Who doesn’t love a good game show?  Nickelodeon does, so much so they’re not just hopping on the game show bandwagon but the nostalgia bandwagon.  Nick is re-launching the Marc Summers lead “Double Dare” show, which was a hit in the late 80’s and early 90’s.  There’s no word on if Summers is rejoining the show but this does fall in line with the current trend on the network.  They relaunched “Legends of the Hidden Temple” as a t.v. film, they’re rebooting “Blues Clues” and are currently looking for a new host, and “Clarissa Explains it All” is also getting relaunched, with series star Melissa Joan Hart serving as the matriarch of the family as well as off screen executive producer.  Though Joan-Hart has not signed her deal yet.

Double Dare was a fantastic t.v. show that essentially pitted families against families in ‘gross’ and ‘disgusting’ challenges.  It also heavily utilized the old school slime.  Which was a big hit back when I was a kid.

PlayStation Announces Free Games for May – PlayStation has announced their games for this month.  On PS4, it’ll be Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends, on PS3 it’ll be Risen 3: Titans Lord and Eat Them!.  While on the PSVita it’ll be King Oddball and Furmins.

Kevin Feige Press Hits – So Feige has dropped some MCU news bits about the future of the brand and thanks to ComicBookMovies.com, we have some of the more important bits of news.  Firstly, Avengers 4 hasn’t revealed their title yet, because one hasn’t been picked.  Another is that Jeremy Renner is being factored heavily into the future plans, as is obviously his character Hawkeye.  Marvel is also skipping ComicCon this year, while focusing on other projects like their now informally announced ‘Eternals’ film.  Beyond obvious notes like Ryan Coogler being brought back for “Black Panther 2”, and that the Phase 4 film schedule won’t be released until after Avengers: Infinity War, the other big piece of news was that the MCU is bringing in Nova.  The Nova Corp, Marvel’s cheap rip off of the Green Lantern Corp debuted in “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

Quick Hits – Harrison Ford has been cast in ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’.  Lauren Cohen has announced she’ll be in season 9 of the ‘Walking Dead’.  Jason Momoa was at CinemaCon and shouted at Will Arnett that Arnett’s Lego Batman version was the best version.  There’s a new Humble Bumble collection coming out, all for a good cause, including games like Dead Rising, The Mega Man Collection, Sonic Generations and more!  John Krasinski is on a hot streak recently, with his film “A Quiet Place” doing well in the theaters and with critics, his show “Jack Ryan” has been renewed for a second season.
