My Hero Academia Coming to Toonami? ‘Power Rangers’ Sell Out and More! – ComicCorp News

My Hero Coming to Toonami – We wrote a couple of weeks ago about My Hero Academia maybe coming to Toonami, Cartoon Network’s weeknight block of anime shows, sometime later this year.  Well Funimation has just confirmed that My Hero Academia will start on the brand on May 5th at 11:30 EST.  If I remember correctly, that was FLCL’s spot but they’ll move to the 12 o’clock spot instead.  With several shows ending their seasons and series, this just made the most sense.  While not confirmed, it’s expected to air the series from the start to the end of season three, which is currently ongoing.

Good News for BOOM! – BOOM! Studios has announced that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #26 has sold out, and will get a second printing.  This is good news for BOOM! who’s been making waves in the comic world by pushing the Power Rangers book hard and coming up with creative and unique ways of pushing the story.  Their “Shattered Grid” storyline is one of the most captivating in all of comics at the moment.

Quick Hits – Aaron and Adam Nee are currently tapped to direct the He-Man movie “Masters of the Universe”.   ‘The Witcher’ will aunch on Netflix with eight episodes to start.    The long-awaited ‘World War Z’ sequel has been delayed further, with production being pushed back to 2019.   Slow news day, “Bleach” got a live action trailer for it’s upcoming film; I have zero clue what it’s about but it looks unique so the trailer is below.
