Charlotte Flair Injured!? Major IMPACT Title Match Announced and More! – WrestleCorp News

Charlotte Flair Injury – Charlotte Flair missed SmackDown and the penultimate episode of Mixed Match Challenge tonight due to minor dental surgery that will cause her to miss about two weeks of time.  She had it done last Wednesday, and the thought was she might be ready to come back by today, but she was not.  She’s expected back next week, and isn’t expected to miss WrestleMania, despite what many were reporting when the news broke.

Daniel Bryan Returning to the Ring – Daniel Bryan has been cleared for WrestleMania and will presumably tag with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34 against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.  If Zayn and Owens win, they’ll no longer be fired.  I say presumably because Shane is dealing with diverticulitis and a hernia.  If Brock Lesnar’s bout with diverticulitis is any indication, a doctor may not clear Shane to wrestle.  However, it should be noted that Lesnar’s was very severe and even needed surgery to deal with it.  Shane’s may not be anywhere near as bad.

In other WrestleMania news, Rusev has been added to the United States Championship match, making it a four way with champion Randy Orton, Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode.  Also, the SmackDown World Tag Team titles will be involved in a three way with the champions Usos, The New Day and the Bludgeon Brothers.

IMPACT Announces Major Match – Austin Aries, the reigning and defending IMPACT World Champion will head to Washington’s DEFY promotion on April 13th, a mere 9 days before IMPACT’s Redemption pay per view.  Aries will defend his IMPACT title in a title for title match against DEFY’s champion, Shane ‘Swerve’ Strickland.  Aries is on a title collection, and Aries may just bring home this belt.  I could see a DQ finish but I have a lot of doubt they’d actually put a title on Strickland, when he’s never wrestled for IMPACT.  But this new regime is crazy, so who the hell knows.  For details go to the IMPACT Wrestling website for more on this major match.

Quick Hits – Lana has revealed she will enter the Women’s WrestleMania Battle Royal.   WWE referee Danilo Anfibio superkicked and pinned Aiden English in the dark match main event last night, with Styles counting the victory.
