Major Name Joining ‘Legends’ Full Time for Season 4, Major Writer Leaving Top DC Book and More! – ComicCorp Podcast

Constantine Joins Legends of Tomorrow – As we’ve been guessing all year, it looks like Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is in fact back for good.  It’s being announced that Constantine will be joining “Legends of Tomorrow” as a series regular for their 4th season.  This has been expected ever since they created his digital series for the CW Seed.  With that being said, I also expect The Ray to join up as well on a show for next season.  This coincides with the fact that the first seen Vixen, Mari McCabe was supposed to be the Vixen on “Legends of Tomorrow” but they went with her grandmother due to scheduling issues with McCabe’s actress, Megalyn Echikunwoke,

Robert Venditti Leaves Green Lantern Book – Robert Venditti has been writing “Green Lantern” books since Man of Steel was in theaters.  Now, on #50, he’ll be moving on to a new series.   He started writing the series on #23 back in 2013.  Venditti revealed all this on Twitter by saying;

Turning in the script for Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #48 today, which seems like as good a time as any to say that this is part one of our big, three-part finale.  #50 will be my last issue writing the Four Corpsmen. A nice, milestone number to say goodbye.

Enterprise Star Talks Auditioning for Show – While “Star Trek Enterprise” was not the most well received of the shows from that era, it was mostly due to it being a prequel and resetting what fans knew back to the first real adventure into the skies.  It follows Captain Archer as he takes the first Star Ship on it’s maiden voyage.  Joining him was Charles Tucker, aka Trip, who was the chief engineer.   He was played by Connor Trinneer, who spoke about the show, revealing some details.

On the casting process;

I had never been through the ringer like it was for [Enterprise].  And the scope of audition process was really varied for our show. Apparently, they just tapped Dominic [Keating], knowing they wanted to play that guy. I think Jolene [Blalock] walked in and they went “Yeah, you. You’re in.” And [John] Billingsley was easy and I don’t remember Anthony [Montgomery’s] situation, but when I told my story, they were like ‘Holy cow!’ Brutal. Brutal!

On the scheduling issues;

The problem was that for the nights that we were on, usually, your Major League Baseball team was also on UPN locally. So, we would get preempted by whatever local sports were happening. There were also entire regions – it didn’t even play in St. Louis, Scott [Bakula’s] hometown. So, you had these pockets of where it wasn’t even on.
And then [Paramount Television Chairman] Kerry McCluggage got fired, our real fan, really quick. And then the new regime came in and it was probably as early as the second season when we were like ‘Huh?’ I don’t think we got any lesser ratings than anyone else but Next Generation. I think we all kind of sat in that same area.

New Spider Man Mini-Series – Variety revealed that there is a new series coming form Marvel, called “Wakanda Forever: The Amazing Spider-Man“.  It’ll be written by Nnedi Okorafor and art by Albberto Jimenez Albuquerque and Terry Dodson.  the series will see Okoye, Ayo and Aneka heading to New York and connecting with Pete Parker.

Quick Hits – Mark Hamill will reprise his role of Luke Skywalker in the Disney Channel segment “Forces of Destiny”.  “Star Trek Voyager’s” Robert PIcardo (The Doctor) will return to “The Orville” for season two.  Silver Surfer is now worthy to be Thor according to the comics.
