Brock Lesnar Back to the UFC? – Paul Heyman was recently interviewed by TMZ about Brock Lesnar possibly returning to the UFC, something they believe Brock is ‘primed’ for. When asked about it, Heyman went into promo mode, saying;
I think Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in UFC, Brock Lesnar will fight in UFC. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in WWE, he will fight in WWE. Ask Braun Strowman, ask Randy Orton, ask The Undertaker. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.
The time away actually makes him better because his body gets a chance to heal. The problem with these UFC fighters, and they’re all fantastic athletes, top of the line in the entire world, is that they wear their bodies down in these training camps,” Heyman said. “All these guys that are cutting weight are just destroying their own bodies. Brock Lesnar is probably the healthiest fighter to enter UFC, if he decides to do that. He’s always ready.
Heyman also put over the idea of him taking over as Ronda Rousey’s manager once she starts, which would actually be a pretty interesting pairing.
Velveteen Dream Causing a Stir Online – Kayfabe isn’t dead, not in the digital age. Velveteen Dream has caused an uproar online over a statement he made about ‘indy’ talent coming into NXT and taking spots. Now, the debate is whether this is a work or not. I’m well aware that some of the animosity around recent hiring’s is true. Especially around the Ronda Rouse signing, a lot of women aren’t happy with it. How many for sure? Who knows, but not everything people tweet under the WWE banner are working fans. Sometimes they’re just mad. Is this the case for Dream? Who knows. Roman Reigns on Duel Branded PPV’s – Roman Reigns was interviewed by Chuck Carroll recently and was asked how he felt about the single brand ppv’s being dropped by the company, and Reigns took the typical approach of putting over the idea, saying;
I think, like anything else, it has its pros and cons. It’s gonna increase the work schedule as far as pay-per-views, but if you don’t wanna perform in a pay-per-view, then what are you doing here? I think it’ll also keep storylines fresh. It’ll allow us to continue to dot all our “i’s” and cross all our “t’s” because we’ll have more weeks to continue those storylines and these rivalries, and we’ll be able to have more time to carry those out.
