Austin Aries Talks Personal Changes, Molly Holly Reveals Who Got Her into WCW and More! – WrestleCorp News

Austin Aries Talks Personal Changes – Austin Aries is back in IMPACT Wrestling but he believes that things are going to be different this time around, mostly because of his new approach. He spoke about this during the conference call saying;

From my first run in Impact, I don’t know that I’ve changed a whole lot other than trying to be more mindful of how I handle situations. My convictions are my convictions, my philosophies on how you treat people and how you go about business haven’t really changed,” Aries said. “But now as I come back for the third time, some of the people in positions of power have changed, and the way they want to go about business and the way they want to treat people [changed too].

He also spoke about how his honesty might of rubbed people the wrong way;

Unfortunately, when you look in somebody’s eyes and you’re honest with them and you tell them things maybe they don’t want to hear, it doesn’t always make you the most popular person. But luckily for me now I’m in a position where I don’t have to win popularity contests to be successful. I can rely on my skill, my passion and my philosophies on wrestling and don’t have to worry about winning the popularity contest. So I try to handle things a little more diplomatically at times, I try to make sure that I’m not letting my emotions get the best of me, but the things that I still hold true haven’t really changed much from the beginning of my career.

I’ll bet you [some of] the [WWE] writers probably didn’t like working with me very much because understand that in that environment, when I’m given something that the writers hand me, if I have any things that I think should be adjusted or things that I wouldn’t personally say, as someone who’s been doing this for 17 years and as a writer it’s not easy for us to just go and change those things, but then to have to march back into the office and have those things changed for them. So the process is a little tedious, and to me it really takes a lot of the artistic and creative freedoms away from the wrestlers. I don’t know any writer that would know my voice better than myself, I’ve been doing this a long time. I’ll say this: if there’s any writers that had any issues with me while I was in WWE, they certainly never expressed that to me. That’s something that was never brought to my attention, so I can’t speak on anonymous reports.

Molly Holly Talks Randy Savage’s Involvement in her Career – Molly Holly signed with WCW back in 1999 before she was ever in the WWE. In WCW, she was known as Miss Madness, or Mona. Apparently Molly, real name Nora Greenwald, credits the start of her career to the late Macho Man Randy Savage. Savage had a reputation of being, lets say unkind, to people in the business. Yet, that wasn’t Molly’s experience, saying;

It was Randy Savage’s idea to bring me on TV – he let Eric Bischoff know that I was going to be a part of his entourage. So, how it happened was, Randy told me that he wanted me to train his girlfriend, Stephanie, on how to do some wrestling moves. Stephanie and I then hit it off and became friends. She then told Macho Man, ‘Wow, this girl Nora, she has amazing moves! Do you think she can be part of our entourage on television?’ And Randy said, ‘Yep, that’s great. So, Randy had Stephanie’s stylist make me a sequined bodysuit, and Stephanie taught me how to rub on some fake tan and dye my hair platinum blonde, and she brought me backstage at WCW. Randy then said to Eric Bischoff that he was bringing me onstage with him at WCW. After that, it was pretty much it. Although, eventually, I did get a contract, it was kind of cool that Randy just had the power to do what he wanted on TV, and he wanted me to be a part of his group. And that was very flattering, and awesome.

Quick Hits – Jason Jordan tweeted out that he’ll be back ‘better than ever’ fro his neck injury. James Ellsworth claims that Bray Wyatt invited him to dress with the rest of the WWE roster the night he faced off with AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.
