New Hall of Famer for WWE, Shocking Wrestler to Compete for NWA Title and More! – WrestleCorp News

Newest HOF’er Announced – The WWE is stacking up this Hall of Fame class nicely, with long time wrestler Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory being the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. Ivory was huge in the late 90’s and early 00’s as she was both a wrestler and former champion, as well as a successful trainer for the WWE’s development territories. More than that though, she has ties to Netflix’s new hit series, “Glow”, as she was an actual wrestler from the original wrestler trained by Mando Guerrero. Congratulations to her on this announcement.

Surprising Name Challenging for NWA Title – Well, that’s surely an interesting development. Set for release this week, Nick Aldis will defend his championship against former WWE wrestler James Ellsworth. Ellsworth was picked by Aldis’ manager, Austin Idol to kick off the stretch of matches where Nick Aldis will defend the belt in. This is being dubbed the Aldis Crusae, and will see him defend the belt 20 times in sixty days.

ROH Announces Women’s Tournament Brackets – We now know who will be in the Ring of Honor Women’s Championship Tournament, but not just that, we now know who’ll face who in the opening rounds. The biggest names in the tournament are former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts champion, Madison Rayne and former WWE women’s wrestler Tenille Dashwood, aka Emma. Both are in opposite ends of the bracket, thus making them likely for a class in the finals (maybe). ROH talent Kelly Klein, Mandy Leon, Deonna Purrazzo, and Brandi Rhodes are also in the tournament, as are numerous talent from Stardom.

Quick Hits – It was announced that Goldberg would be heading to New Orleans on April 7th for WrestleCon. Mojo Rawley claims that Rob Gonkowski will head to the WWE eventually, saying “It’s not a matter of if, but when”. He then clarified though that he isn’t speaking for Gronk. In a little under three months, The Miz will surpass Pedro Morales as the longest regining Intercontinental Champion.
