Doom Patrol in ‘Titans’, Major ROH Matches Announced for Anniversary PPV and More! – Weekend Roundup

Major Team Appearing in ‘Titans‘ – Geoff Johns has dropped the biggest bombshell yet about the “Titans” show that will stream on the DC Streaming Service. That bombshell is that The Doom Patrol will in fact appear.

DC President Johns revealed that the fifth episode is titled “Doom Patrol”, revealing the arrival of the team.

ROH Announces Two Major Matches – The ROH Anniversary pay per view event will feature two major matches. The first is Marty Scurll and Punishment Martinez hooking up. But the main event will feature Jay Lethal challenging Dalton Castle for the ROH World Championship. The two men are some of the best talkers in ROH at the moment, so the promos should be spectacular.

Kraven Almost in ‘Black Panther’? – Ryan Coogler revealed that he had some other ideas for “Black Panther”, one that involved the use of Kraven as a major villain. Kraven is a master hunter who stalks the continent of Africa and sometimes the United States, looking for big game to kill. Cooker revealed his desire to land Kraven for his film to Yahoo Movies, saying;

You realise there’s contractual things. You don’t have that character. There was a Christopher Priest run that was pretty heavy, there’s a big scene where Panther’s fighting Kraven, Kraven the Hunter.

I’ve always loved Kraven the Hunter in almost every iteration. So there was a moment – ‘Can I grab Kraven?’ – and they were ‘Nah, you don’t have Kraven.’ He was one where I thought ‘Oh, man.’ But I don’t even know if he would have worked in the movie we ended up with, this was the early days.

WWE vs. IMPACT – There was a match last night pitting Apollo Crews vs. Moose at the Preston City Wrestling event. Moose is an IMPACT talent and Crews works for the WWE. The reason Crews was there was due to a deal that PCW and the WWE did a while back that saw Preston get the WWE a booking in a building that Preston has exclusive booking rights on.

Quick Hits – Despite what they’re saying publicly, I’m told that Booker was actually very upset with Graves, and that the current “it was a work” angle was the WWE ‘fixing’ the situation. Booker’s been under fire internally for a few weeks since he victim blamed rape victims in regards to Mike Tyson and Tupac. Netflix’s “Godzilla: Planet of Monsters” animated film is getting a sequel. George Lucas stopped by the set of ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ and directed a scene, but no word on what scene it was has been revealed. For the first time in almost twelve years, Chris Harris and James Storm will reunite as America’s Most Wanted for ASWA’s Spring Sting on April 7th, at the Malabar Gymnasium in Mansfield, Ohio.
