WWE Hires Major IMPACT Name, IMPACT Debuts New Stable and More! – WrestleCorp News

WWE Hires IMPACT Star – Jeremy Borash has officially left IMPACT Wrestling. That’s right, the worst announcer not named Ed Ferrara is gone. And while his commentary game has always been shit, his responsibilities behind the scenes were massive and there’s no denying that. Borash finished up his duties this week with IMPACT over the last week. I’m told through a source that the conversations started during the last set of tapings. The current rumor has Josh Mathews taking back the lead chair, and being joined by Don Callis, though that could always change.

Borash is expected to be working with Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt in order to salvage the character and feud. Too many ‘insiders’ though are blowing this out of proportion. Just because he’s a long time employee doesn’t mean he’s irreplaceable. Once AJ Styles left, the whole “original” thing was over. Having guys like James Storm and others leave is irrelevant. What I care about is the next group of guys. They had their chance, and failed. Let’s see what the next guys up can do. Fans have been saying for five+ years now about the company sinking. So since everyone wants to call IMPACT the Titanic today, here ya go.

US Title Update – We talked yesterday about how Dolph Ziggler was originally scheduled for the US title match at the Royal Rumble but apparently The Observer has more on that match. Apparently Adam Cole was set to face off with Bobby Roode at the event for the United States Championship; which I believe would of made it the first time ever that those two faced off. The match was scrapped due to those in power believing that Cole didn’t need to eat a 10 minute loss. Whatever that means. Maybe Meltzer meant that he couldn’t afford to? And honestly, ever since I found out that Big Dave takes news stories form tumblr blogs, I lost a lot of respect for him.

IMPACT Wrestling Announces New Stable – IMPACT Wrestling has announced a new stable via their website and twitter called ‘Desi Hit Squad’. Legendary Canadian-Indian star Gama Singh, who signed several months ago will lead the group. He’ll be joined by BCW and current IMPACT Star Hakim Zane, who’s going by Rohit Raju now. Rohit won the 2017 Global Forged competition. They’ll be joined by Vikas Kumar, a former Ring Ka King star who has moved ot North America to pursue his wrestling career. Also joining them will be Gursinder Singh, another 2017 Global Forged Competitor from West Sussex, England. Finally they’ll be rounded out by Bhupinder Singh, a 23 year old former body builder form Chandigah, India. He was trained by The Great Khali

I’m hearing that the inclusion of this stable might indicate that the World X-Cup is coming back.

Quick Hits – Former WCW star Missy Hyatt believes that Paige’s neck surgery hastened her retirement, citing the WWE’s advice to wait a few years before doing it. Mick Foley tweeted out that he doesn’t want to see Sasha Banks dive anymore. I think we all agree. Numerous part time, full time and legendary WWE women’s wrestlers are calling out the WWE and Ronda Rousey for how she debuted at the end of the Royal Rumble. Many are no wondering if this is a storyline or not.
