Rousey vs. Steph? New Hall of Famers Announced and More! – WrestleCorp News

Ronda Rousey News – Oh boy, where to begin? Ronda Rousey is in the WWE “full time” according to ESPN. That just means that she has an exclusive multi-year deal. It does not indicate if she’s working house shows. The signing was everything the WWE could want, as it’s been in the talk show loop for hours, an it still persists. ESPN featured images of Alexa Bliss, Charlotte and Asuka in the ring with the debuting Rousey, so they’re all getting massive media exposure. However, the idea of a Rousey vs. Charlotte match in the main event may be a bit of the way off.

The rumor today from various outlets has Rousey teaming up with someone, to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag match at WrestleMaina.

…way to kill the hype.

Opinion: I’ll be on board the mixed tag match if Rousey’s tag partner is Goldberg.

WWE Hall of Fame News – Today we found out that Team 3D was going into the WWE Hall of Fame. Sorry, the Dudley’s. I keep forgetting they spent more time in IMPACT/TNA than in the WWE or ECW. The IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Famers will now join Kurt Angle and Sting in the WWE Hall of Fame as the only four men to be inducted into both. Ironically enough, they all got inducted in the same order in both Hall of Fames. The Dudley’s join Goldberg in this years Hall of Fame.

PWInsider is also reporting that former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry is being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year as well. Joining him could be former Women’s Champion Ivory (LIsa Moretti). If those two follow Goldberg and the Dudley’s into the Hall, then that might give it the basis as the strongest Class yet.

Rey Mysterio – Currently it’s being reported that Rey Mysterio’s appearance last night was a one off and that Rey isn’t expected to be back under a full time deal. IMPACT and Rey Mysterio remain interested in working with one another, though a hefty offer and the right amount of days off could get Rey back in the WWE for the first time in several years. Many are looking at Rey’s son Dominic as the key to bringing him into any company. Rey is training his son to be a pro wrestler, and if a company were to sign his son as well, that would go a long way towards signing Rey.

WWE Re-Signs Ass Kisser – The WWE has agreed to a new deal with former WWE and ESPN announcer Jonathan Coachman. Coachman left the WWE for ESPN a few years ago, and spent most of his time there becoming a shill for Vince McMahon and the WWE. While in between his time at ESPN and talking about all the great things Vince did, he also hosted a weekly WWE segment on ESPN.

Well now he’s back with the WWE and will apparently be rejoining the RAW announce team tonight, replacing Booker T. So somehow the announce team got worse.

I’m told Coachman is being looked at as one of, if not the voice of the re-launch of the XFL.

Quick Hits – ROH will be bringing in STARDOM wrestlers for their Women’s Title tournament; the first wrestler announces is Kagestu. There will be four stars total in the tournament. Alicia Fox has been ruled out for the next few months thanks to a broken tailbone she suffered while working out. Dolph Ziggler was supposed to return to the main roster last night in the US title match against Bobby Roode, but plans changed over the weekend. New Japan has sold out the Walter Pyramid in under 20 minutes today; with an estimated sale of about 4,700 tickets.
