DC Announces Delay for Comic Series, New Major Harry Potter Attraction Coming and More! – ComicCorp News

Warner Animation Creating Dr. Seuss Movies – Warner Animation has formed a new creative partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P. to produce new animated films based off of the classic books. The first animated film to be made will be “The Cat in the Hat”.

Unfortunate ‘Doomsday Clock’ Update – DC Comics President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirms that ‘Doomsday Clock’ will be coming out bimonthly, which means every other month a new issue will come out. Johns states that the issue is with the volume of each title. The books were coming out once a month and were a hefty 32 pages. The only way they could stay on pace of once per month was to reduce to 20 pages per issue, something Johns and company thought would hurt the series. So instead of giving fans less, they’re asking them to be patient as the series continues on an extended run.

Harry Potter Cruise Coming – That’s right, Harry Potter isn’t dead yet. While the prequel film series is heading into it’s second film, fans of the original books will have a fun new thing they can do; book a cruise. The Barge lady Cruises company are doing a “Harry Potter Magic Cruiser” series. The cruise is a week-long river cruise that will travel the Thames, and will visit film locations for all eight Potter films.

The stops on the cruise will include Virginia Water (where Harry met Buckbeak in The Prisoner of Azkaban), Picket Post Close (the stand-in for 4 Privet Drive in The Sorcerer’s Stone), Oxford’s Christ Church College (which served as a model for Hogwarts’ Great Hall), and a tour of Warner Bros. Studios

Quick Hits – That means we have 18 months to wait until the end of the series. CW President Mark Pedowitz confirms that CW won’t push their luck with more than four DC Comics series at a time. ‘Star Wars: Last Jedi’ novelization will feature Han Solo’s funeral, Rose and her sister spending time together and a more in depth dive of Canto Bight.
