Enzo Amore Released, Major Updates Surrounding the Cruiserweight Title and More! – WrestleCorp News

Enzo Released – WWE has announced today that they have come to terms with the release of Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. Part of the reason this decision was made wasn’t about the allegations themselves. The WWE usually takes a ‘wait-and-see’ approach, in order to avoid any potential wrongful termination lawsuits. However in Enzo’s case, it was apparent that he knew of the allegations, and refused to to tell the WWE about them until after the allegations came to light. The fact the WWE were blindsided by this was all the reason they needed to fire Enzo Amore.

Why Enzo’s Suspension Fucked Up the Show – Enzo Amore was originally slated to wrestle Goldust last night on RAW. Enzo was feuding with Cedric Alexander, and Goldust had kind of become Alexander’s de facto partner during the feud. The Zo-Train would of come down and assault Goldust and Alexander, prompting The Dudley’s to return to put someone through a table.

Because of this, the match became Titus and Apollo Crews vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno, with the same ending happening to Slater. Goldust and Alexander were removed from RAW completely, and the rest of the former Zo-Train went to the Manhattan Center for commercial break matches.

Cruiserweight Title Update – Now that Enzo Amore is gone, as are Neville, Austin Aries and Rich Swann remains suspended, the WWE’s Cruiserweight Title is in turmoil. The WWE announced that SmackDown G.M. Daniel Bryan will open up tonight’s 205Live to make an announcement about the Cruiserweight Title. Putting it on someone reliable, like a Cedric Alexaner or Tony Neese makes all the sense in the world. So expect a tournament to crown a new champion.

Quick Hits – John Cena’s ‘Ferdinand’ has been nominated for Best Animated Feature Film. RAW was over 4 million viewers for RAW 25, but expect those numbers to tank next week; as the show is largely being panned and ripped.
