Former World Champ Slams WWE in Interview, ‘Solo’ Trailer Being Released This Week? and More! – Weekend Roundup Super Post

Former World Champ Dumps on the WWE – This came out of nowhere. The Great Khali is someone many wrestling fans would say sucked. He wasn’t athletic, he coudln’t cut promos, and he was a terrible wrestler. That being said, the WWE decided to still give him the World Championship at one point in his career due to a rash of injuries to The Undertaker and Edge. He recently spoke to The New Indian Express and revealed that he’s not just done with the WWE for good, but that they’ve failed in India. He’s quoted as saying;

The WWE has failed in India. They thought they would use the Great Khali fully and then leave him. I [had] been trying hard for [a long time] to leave WWE, but they kept on offering me [a] contract. Finally in 2014, I decided I [would] leave once my contract [ended] and [would] not work with them ever again. Then I came back and opened CWE [Continental Wrestling Entertainment] in Punjab, which is doing well.

‘Solo’ Trailer Coming? – Despite the horrid reviews that “Star Wars: Last Jedi” got, the Star Wars franchise is still moving on at a solid clip. While reports indicated that the upcoming “Solo: A Star Wars Story” received positive reviews for it’s initial test audience, many are extremely worried about the project. According to Star Wars Junk though, the first trailer for the film is expected out this week. It’ll be placed with the final “Maze Runner” film, but it’ll debut online around Wednesday, this according to an AMC source via Star Was Junk.

Quick Hits – Sam Jackson and Cobie Smulders were seen on set for an upcoming MCU film, many believe to be “Avengers 4”, thus confirming they survive the third Avengers film. Samoa Joe claims his current injury is a ‘week to week’ situation.
