Dragon Ball Super Cancelled, Superman Regains Classic Aspect in ‘Action Comics #1000’ and More! – ComicCorp News

Dragon Ball Super Cancelled – After fans freaked out the other day over the future of Dragon Ball Super, it’s being confirmed that the series is indeed ending, and will conclude at the end of March. Needless to say the fans are not to pleased. This isn’t the end of the Dragon Ball line, so the reaction is a bit unnecessary. There’s been at least three different Dragon Ball series I can think of, and it’s being mentioned that a fourth will be happening; so calm your tits.

Kid Flash Confirmed for Legends – Despite Wally West’s biggest arc this season being his breakup with Jessie Quick, the good people of the Arrowverse have something for him. Apparently the rumors and speculation of him moving shows is true as we now have an official Entertainment Weekly article indicating so. Executive Producer is quoted as saying;

We loved working with Keiynan in our series premiere — the episode in which we learned that in between seasons 2 and 3 he had been fighting crime in Central City with Nick Zano’s Nate Heywood. So when his character stepped away from Flash to go on walkabout, after being dumped and feeling somewhat estranged from his family and team, we knew that Wally West would fit in perfectly on Legends, After all, our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong — only to find those answers while traveling through time and having wacky adventures. So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he’s fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.

Superman Gets His Red Trunks Back – Apparently Superman is going classic with his 1000th issue. The Man of Steele will be returning to his former look, complete with red boots, the yellow belt and the classic red ‘undies’. Some have pissed and moaned about it, but modern day Superman legend, Dan Jurgens took to Twitter to express his happiness over the news.

Jurgens, the debuting Brian Michael Bendis, Peter J. Tomasi, and Pat Gleason are all working on the 1000th issue of “Action Comics” the debut title of Superman. It’s fair to say that if Jurgens is on board, the rest of you plebs better fall in line.

New Wolverine Book – Marvel is launching ‘The Hunt for Wolverine’, a new series following Wolverine’s return to the living that will be handled by writer Charles Soule, and artist David Marquez. The only good thing about this is the fact that the writer who killed him, Soule, is back to handle his rebirth. So hopefully there’s little to no continuity errors. The fact they killed him off at all was a tacky and unnecessary one; considering his replacement did every storyline under the sun that made the original Wolverine who he was. When you rehash old stories with new characters, it just feels like a cheap knockoff.

Quick Hits – Home Spider-Man Homecoming 2 rumor indicates femme fatal lead. ‘Castlevania’ will return to Netflix in the summer for 8 more episodes according to Warren Ellis. Warner Bros. have curtailed ‘Gotham City Sirens’ to focus on ‘Birds of Prey’ and ‘Harley vs. The Joker’.
