‘Teen Titans Go! to the Movies’ Trailer Debuts, ‘Last Jedi’ Editor Regrets Big Scene and More! – ComicCorp News

Teen Titans Go! Teaser Trailer – The teaser for the “Teen Titans Go! to the Movies” film is out and it’s….underwhelming. While it’s only a ‘teaser’, it does give you an idea of what the movie will be and it’s not what I was hoping for but it may still strike a chord with others in the lead up to the July release date.

Star Wars Editor Regrets Death Scene – More than half of the audience hated ‘The Last Jedi’, and it shows in the ratings for the film. A lot of the complaints focus on the mishandling of many things; one being the deaths in the film. One death that was largely neglected and ignored involved one, Admiral It’s-A-Trap Ackbar Esq III. His death, if you don’t remember it, happened at the same time Admiral Leia got sucked out into space. Kind of buried the lead, right?

Well now editor Bob Ducsay is admitting that they messed up in how they dealt with Ackbar. He was interviewed recently by the Huffington Post and said;

It’s interesting that you mentioned it, because I watched the film last night and I thought, hmmm, maybe that’s too incidental,” Ducsay said. “It’s a very funny thing about that because what happens … I don’t typically watch movies that I work on much afterwards, because you’re so familiar with it. But this movie I’ve seen now a couple times with an audience. And it occurred to me last night that what does happen when I watch movies … is I generally find things that are like, hmmm, I wonder if I should do that differently. Which is some really horrible form of personal criticism because there’s really nothing to be done.

With public outcry, the very real, and very earnest comments from Mark Hamil (no matter how hard he walks em back, he said what he said) to now an editor pointing out the obvious, it’s hard to say that Episode IX isn’t poisoned water at this point. It’ll make money, sure but will it be the end of the love affair? We’ll have to wait and see.

Oh and apparently no one is happy with the Solo prequel film. So that’ll be hilarious too.

Quick Hits – ‘The Flash’ will introduce Veronica Dale, aka Hyrax in the seasons second half. The new ‘God of War’ game, which features Greek warrior Kratos in the lands of the Norse men, will get a release date any day now. ‘Old Man Hawkeye #1’ shows what could happen if the Venom symbiote bonded with X-Men character Multiple Man.
