IMPACT Wrestling Gets Good Rating News, WWE Cancels Major Event and More! – WrestleCorp News

IMPACT Ratings Up Again – IMPACT Wrestling’s early demise might be a bit premature. After dropping to near lows around Thanksgiving and Christmas, the flagship show has rebounded nicely over the last three weeks, returning to over 300,000 views for the latest episode.

IMPACT Star Getting Surgery – X-Division wrestler and IMPACT Wrestling agent, Sonjay Dutt will be undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon in his right foot. He could be out from anywhere to 5-7 months.

WWE Cancels 205 Live Event – WWE has cancelled the first of the three 205Live branded events. The first one was set for January 19th at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. The reasoning given was “routing and scheduling issues”. However, I’m told the sales for the event were very low.

The other two shows in Lowell, Massachusetts and Poughkeepsie, New York, are still on the docket.

Quick Hits – John Cena and Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash are scheduled for the RAW 25th Anniversary show. Chris Jericho has re-uped with NJPW again and will be going to feud with Tetsuya Naito going forward. Jim Cornette has announced that he’ll never work another wrestling show again, due to his disenfranchisement with the wrestling product. Christy Hemme is undergoing a procedure necessary to deliver her four babies. Good luck Hemme!
