‘Young Justice’ Update, ‘Attack on Titan’ End in Sight? – ComicCorp News

Young Justice Update – Greg Weisman has shared the expected release date for the upcoming return of “Young Justice”. Weisman is saying that the series will premiere sometime after September of 2018. The series will find the teen hereos facing off with a meta human trafficer and a “terrifying threat it creats for a society caught in the crossfire…”.

SkyBound Explains Move – The Walking Dead executive producer and CEO of Skybound David Alpert explained why he and Robert Kirkman have opted to move their work to Amazon for the foreseeable future. He’s quoted by Variety as saying;

The ability to connect digitally with our fans to find out what they want and serve them content from great creators, media agnostic — it’s not a little idea, it’s a huge idea. I think there’s a huge opportunity there. We could be the media company for the new millennium.

Attack on Titan End? – For you manga fans out there, “Attack on Titan” has just hit the 100th chapter mark in it’s run, a milestone in the industry. However, artist Hajime Isayama believes the end of the series is near, saying;

Thanks to everyone, [Attack on Titan] reached 100 chapters this year. Thank you very much for [reading] until now! I wish you can follow this manga until the end of its story which will come as soon as possible… I know there is an impression like that, but to me, in fact I don’t think particularly in that way… If you ask me whether it is true, I’d rather say, ‘If it gets stretched, isn’t it very bad to the whole sense [of the story’s completeness]?’ I fear things like that will happen.

Isayama stated that he was putting finishing touches on the series finale back in July, so it’s anyone’s guess when that is.

Quick Hits – ‘Scarlet Spider’ has brought back Cyber, a former X-Men villain. David Alpert believes that despite ratings being down on “The Walking Dead”, he believes there’s an influx of new fans all the time, they’re just not up to date yet on the 8th season. He also claims he doesn’t think the brand has lost relevance.
