GFW Back Up and Running? HOH’s Tournament Bracket Revealed and More! – WrestleCorp News

GFW Touts Success? – Global Force Wrestling is back apparently and just finished working with the Kentucky and Northwestern universities at the Music City Bowl. This is the second time GFW has worked a Bowl Game. Jeff Jarrett and GFW returned to partner with the Music City Bowl last year at this time, and this time was joined by Ricky Steamboat and Jerry the King Lawler. GFW released a full press release touting the success.

Colt Cabana Changes Format for Podcast – Colt Cabana is doing away with his current long form interview format on his “Art of Wrestling” podcast. The reason for doing it in the first place was to help generate interest in indy wrestlers with lesser name value, but now it’s no longer necessary as it’s all over the place now. So instead he’ll be telling tales of his adventures from that specific week in wrestling. So it’ll be a weekly blog basically.

Opinion: Cabana dubs himself a pioneer of the wrestling podcast genre, but let’s be real, that’s far from true. He hopped on that bandwagon years after many others tarted. Hell, I started doing wrestling podcasts in 2009. So sit down with that “pioneer” nonsense.

House of Hardcore Releases Bracket – House of Hardcore is crowing their first ever Television Champion on January 26th of 2018. The first round bouts have been announced below and will air on Twitch.TV;

– Mikey of the Squad vs. Swoggle.

I’d hope that Kenny, Eddie Kingston, Kevin Kross, Brian Cage or Willie Mack would be the first one to win the title,b ut knowing Dreamer’s booking it’ll Bull James or Swoggle.

Quick Hits – AroLucha is not looking at a second television taping as of yet, as they’re focused on doing more live shows first. Rumors have IMPACT Wrestling running Lockdown as a ppv event sometime in April or May. Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley and Aiden English vs. Xavier Woods are the final two opening round matches for the WWE United States Tournament. The winner of Ryder/Rawley will take on Roode, with the winner of English/Woods taking on Mahal. Following up on yesterday, we’re being told Paige did suffer a pinched nerve, aka a stinger. She’s not expected to miss too much time.
