Top KnockOut Wants Out? – According to PWInsider, Laurel Van Ness has requested a release from her IMPACT Wrestling contract apparently. Van Ness, who (spoiler alert) is the Knockouts Champion, is still under contract as of this posting. No word as to why Van Ness wants out of the deal with this being the biggest push of her career. More IMPACT News – Eddie Edwards deal is up in early 2018 and IMPACT Wrestling officials are attempting to re-sign him. They’re attempting or have finalized deals with some of their top stars as of today, one other being EC3, who’s currently in negotiations.

In other news, IMPACT has secured a formal contract with Matt Sydal going forward. IMPACT will now be his primary promotion. In a bit more humerous news, IMPACT posted a new ad on their Twitter account hyping Park Park and Park at Law. It’s pretty awesome, and worth checking out. I’m told the phone number does work.

Why Was WWE Out for Jimmy Jacobs? – Jimmy Jacobs revealed on Chris Jericho’s podcast that he took time off after WrestleMania 33 to deal with an opiate addiction. PWInsider revealed earlier this year that Jacobs had taken time off to deal with a personal issue, and he got a target put on his back. This was apparently the reason. Jacobs revealed that when he got clean, he became less concerned about things, like getting fired from the WWE. If the allegations are true that the WWE had it out for Jacobs for going to rehab, which fits their M.O., someone should make them pay for it.

Andre the Giant Documentary Trailer Released – HBO and the WWE have partnered to create another Andre the Giant documentary. The WWE and Vince McMahon praise Andre the Giant quite often and for over forty years, so them partnering with HBO to release a documentary on him isn’t that surprising, especially when you realize how close he was to the McMahons . André the Giant, a new documentary that examines the life and career of one of wrestling’s most beloved characters, premieres Spring 2018. The film is produced by HBO Sports, WWE, and the Bill Simmons Media Group.

Quick Hits – Corey Graves will have a new show on the WWE Network called “Straight to the Source”. The Nashville IMPACT offices are officially closed as of today. WrestleKingdom 12 is selling at 180% at this point compared to WrestleKingdom 11, according to NJPW’s Director of their North American Expansion George Carroll. Despite headlines to the contrary, it’s not a new record. Albert El Patron claims he wants to leave wrestling by 2019.
